One is busted and the other is in pretty bad shape, anyone know where I can get these or does anyone have a "not working" rex that I could purchase and get the battery tabs. I'm using duct tape in the interim. |

Perhaps I could use the battery holder tabs from a REX 5000 or a Franklin Pro, any thoughts on that? |

Hmm, don't own either one of those so can't say for sure, althought the 5000 and 6000 are real close in terms of the casing dimensions and stuff. Another hack that I thought of is what about using some toothpicks and use a knife of some sort to cut it to the right length and just wedge it in there? Not sure how well that will hold though. |

A defective unit that I could either use as parts would be best. Another member indicated that to replace the battery holder tabs I will need a torx 3 wrench and soldering skills which won't be a problem. Should I send an email to you for more info? |

No reply to my emails. Anyone else with a defective Rex that I can salvage the plastic battery securing levers? Or does anyone know if there are any other parts sources on the planet for the Rex 6000? |
