This particular forum was designed for people with a spare rex or two, wether it be a company or Joe Shmoe getting rid of an unused one. But as this becomes more and more popular, I found it necessary to list a few guidelines about this.
Sellers
First off, don't go overboard in the formatting, you are posting to a message board, not creating your own web page. Also don't do any "tricks" to make your post more noticeable. Don't "bump" topics just because you're not selling anything. List as much contact information as you wish to disclose. Someone who does more then just say "PM me your MAPS card info" will probably get a better response.
Buyers
Most importantly, buyer beware!. Most people on the internet that do business are legitamate business people and just want to provide some product. But there are a few out there that are just out to get some money. Use common sense. If someone is constantly trying to get a MAPS card or specific details that are not required to conduct the transaction, you should be more cautious. If you do get something from someone on here, do a follow up stating that. Not only does it tell people that the offer is over, but it also gives the person that is selling it some credibility.
Initial rules were created and are effective as of November 3, 2003.
I just quickly put this together, I will probably add more stuff on to it as I see fit. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact me. |
