Just noticed on http://www.rex6000.og/ (been a while) that this forum is now listed on the "Rex Discussions" link. So does this mean RRC is pretty much done? Too bad. I might (a VERY BIG might) try and figure out a way to merge all the RRC posts into this board. How to do that without a whole lotta copy and pasting is beyond me. Any ideas how to do that are welcome.
In a somewhat related note, I checked the stats for this area and it's only using .7% of the allocated bandwidth I have, so I think this is pretty much going to be around for a while The entire vrillusions domain is only using a little over 3% And the forum database is just a little over 1 mb. Although that's going to jump if I can figure out how to import the RRC entries. The problem there is going to be how to handle threads and stuff. Unless I just make a script that just creates a seperate topic for each, which would be a pain to follow, but would still be searchable... |

I didn't think it would be 100% complete, but it's better than nothing. I also just submitted this site to the internet archive, although I'm not sure if it will work with this being database driven. Oh well, worth a shot. |

Just tried to access it and now there's a robots.txt exclusion. The website has since been bought by portal company, which must have set it to not archive it anymore. So unless we can get that changed, RRC is gone. And I never actually saved any of it either, *sigh* ohh well |

I FINALLY downloaded the whole archive, now the lovely task of trying to get it all parsed out. Right now I just plan to have a section for RRC and have a seperate topic for each message. This way they would be searchable. I'll then go through them later and move stuff around, although I don't think the tools to do that are availiable in this board, we'll see I guess. I think I have to make one large forum for all the messsages, then go through and "split" it so that certain messages get a new topic. I just have to work on getting it in here, then I'll worry about that later |
