Hi all,
I've recently converted the New Testament (NIV) into a nice, readable format for my Rex. I originally started playing around using a Website copier to copy the content, then macros to strip tags and add header information using Ultraedit 32. The header information puts a category in for each book (eg, Matthew, John, etc.) so that you can filter the list.
Because of the size limit in memos, there's a separate memo for each chapter of each book. That makes for a lot of memos (250+), but using categories makes it a lot easier to navigate. The whole thing takes up less than half the total space on my Rex.
Anyway, thought I'd let others know I've gone through the conversion process. I also have macros to do the Old Testament, but it's not looking the way I like yet. Because of the sheer number of files, I'm also trying to make my macros strip out all unnecessary spaces to save overall space.
I'm sure someone will let me know where to find a NT eBook version now that I've already done this, but I couldn't find any of the popular versions in the right format (either the NIV or NASV).
If anyone wants the files, just drop a line. |
