Just a quick note to let folks know that the REX 6000 software should install under Windows XP Pro SP2 systems without a hitch.
I have seen a variety of postings about what appeared to be difficulties installing under Windows XP, but I think the issue must be with Outlook XP/2003 and not with Windows XP. I'm still using Outlook 2000 and installing the REX with Outlook 2000 under Windows XP was straightforward on my machine.

I just upgraded my computer and still need to reinstall the rex software. I'll have to keep notes and post them on here. I don't use the outlook plugin but use the yahoo intellisync software and I know it worked in the old computer. Although I still have to try and get the scanner I have to work in the new computer *sigh* |

Hi,
I am new here and the subject has probably already been discussed.
I recently bought a Rex 6000 with USB cradle. Unfortunately, the CD which came with it cannot be read.
I downloaded the needed software but it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to have this thing working on windows XP.
Installation seems OK.
Rextools seems to start but enters an endless loop.
When I kill the process, the computer restarts ...
Can somebody help me : where are the correct files ? is there an "idiotproof" tutorial somewhere ?
Thanks a lot. |
