Anyone successfully got Outlook 2003 working with their Rex 6000?
I've switched from a desktop/USB cradle, Outlook XP to the above on a laptop. |

There were lots of threads about this which seem to have disappeared.
In any case, since Outlook 2003 uses a new file format incompatible with Intellisync by default, you have to creat a new pst file using the "Outlook 97-2002..." format under Tools - Email Accounts - New Outlook data file, and copy/move your old folders into it. New installs of Outlook have this problem. Upgrades probably don't, since it would continue using your original pst file in the old format. For driver issues, be sure to install the latest from Intel/Xircom: http://support.intel.com/support/peripherals/xc/pda/rex6000/index.htm |

I can follow your instructions of going to Outlook Tools - Email Accounts - New Outlook data file, but am unsure on how to copy/move my old folders into it.
Could you give me more of a step by step?

Two steps:
1. Drag
2. Drop |

Funny, very funny.
This last fiasco of my Rex dying has led me to throw in the towel. I've acquired a Pocket PC. I will truely miss my Rex. |

I tried creating this file under Tools - Email Accounts - New Outlook data files. I couldn't find New Outlook data files. Is there another syntax for this. I didn't see any references to "Outlook 97-2002" files.
Please help. |

Email Accounts - View or change existing ...
You'll see the New outlook data files button.
BTW, my Rex just died , so I guess it's back to PocketPC for me too.
Good luck. |

i've just upgraded to windows xp and i've installed rex6000 without problem.
i'm using outlook xp. i can sync my rex6000 with outlook without problem after i coped my old .pst file which is in "outlook 97-2002 personal folder file" format to the new outlook folder.
i think this will also work for outlook 2003. |
